    Workshop on the concept of partnership and the most prominent practices of procurement systems 

    Asharqia Chamber witnessed Thursday (9/September/2022) a workshop organized by the Chamber in cooperation with the Commercial Office of the US Consulate General in Dhahran, which dealt with best practices for private sector procurement, during which the US Consul General David Eddington spoke, and was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Asharqia Chamber Badr bin Suleiman Al-Raziza and the second deputy The Chairman of the Board of Directors Hamad bin Muhammad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, the member of the Board, Engineer Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad Al-Othman, and the Secretary General of the Chamber Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabil.

    During the workshop, Al-Raziza praised the historical relations between the two countries, as he explained that the United States of America is the largest trading partner of the Kingdom, and one of the most important trading partners of our country. More open and interested in all sectors, especially the health sector, which attaches special importance to the implementation of Vision 2030.

    Within this context, Al-Raziza indicated that the Asharqia Chamber, and in the context of its continuous efforts to enhance the economic and development work of the business sector and serve as a platform to enhance communication opportunities and expand investment circles in the eastern region, hosts this workshop to introduce the best practices in government procurement targeting the health sector, that sector which Today, it is witnessing remarkable progress and development at all levels, in light of a program that will target the comprehensive transformation of the sector and its restructuring into a comprehensive, effective and integrated health system.
    He expressed his hope that this workshop would fulfill everyone’s aspirations to learn more about the government’s procurement paths in the health sector and our country’s paths towards developing the sector, and what our wise government offers for new projects and the organizational and procedural steps it has taken to achieve the goals of Vision 2030 in this vital sector.​
    During the workshop, US Consul General David Eddington spoke about the issue of a partnership between the public and private sectors and stressed the importance of enhancing commercial cooperation between the business sectors in the two countries.​
